Wealthy Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan was early this week rushed to a Pretoria hospital in South Africa after she suddenly fell ill, her family members say.
However, information about Zari Hassan’s ailment is yet to be disclosed.
Zari Hassan, who on June 15 formally took over the ownership and management of her late ex-husband Ivan Ssemwanga’s businesses in South Africa, has kept off social media for nearly a week now as she receives treatment.
Zari Hassan’s hospitalisation came just a few hours after her mother, Halima Hassan, was admitted at a Kampala hospital for a heart-related complication.
Ugandan media report that Zari Hassan’s family members are worried following the hospitalisation of the Ugandan socialite and her mother.
“Depression following Ivan Ssemwanga’s death could have contributed to the decline of Zari Hassan’s health,” a source close to Diamond Platnumz was quoted by Tanzanian media as saying.
Zari Hassan’s close family member is the one who broke the news about Halima Hassan’s hospitalisation.
“It is true our mum was hospitalised early this week after she developed a heart-related complication,” said the source.
Zari Hassan’s partner, Diamond Platnumz, is yet to reveal any information about her current condition.
