Wealthy Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan has finally spoken out after her Tanzanian partner Diamond Platnumz admitted to cheating on her with Tanzanian model-cum-video vixen Hamisa Mobetto.
Taking to Instagram to address her 3.2 million followers on Wednesday, September 20, Zari Hassan said her partner Diamond Platnumz is the “loser” in all this infidelity drama.
“When a person chooses to cheat on you it’s not you, actually it is them which usually turns out that they played themselves while they thought they are playing you (sic).
“You should never look down on yourself, don’t ever think you are worthless because of another person’s mistake and never blame yourself. But always look at how to pick yourself up and get going.”
It is the statement “always look at how to pick yourself up and get going (after being cheated on) that a section of fans speculate will leave Diamond Platnumz scratching his head whether Zari Hassan would forgive him, or would choose to terminate the relationship.
This comes just a day after Diamond Platnumz said he will do everything humanly possible to ask Zari Hassan for forgiveness after he cheated on her with Hamisa Mobetto late last year.
The illicit relationship resulted in a baby, who was given birth to on August 8, 2017.
Speaking to Tanzania’s Clouds FM on Tuesday, Diamond Platnumz admitted that he and Mobetto dated from 2009 to 2010, and that their love affair grew at a time when the singer was struggling to get a breakthrough in the music industry.
“I blame the devil, who drove me into restarting an illicit relationship with Mobetto, which has resulted into the birth of a baby boy,” Diamond said.
“The baby boy is indeed mine; I would not want to deny that he is not my blood; he is. I have always given Hamisa money to support the child. I also bought her a Toyota Rav 4, I did not want her to struggle,” said Diamond.
“Before the baby was born, I gave Hamisa Ksh375, 000 for delivery. The baby was born when I was in Europe. I asked my mother Sanura Kassim to visit Mobetto and the baby in hospital in August, 2017.
“Sadly Mobetto called the press and looked down upon my mother on the day she gave birth. All I want is to ask my partner, Zari Hassan, for forgiveness, and all the people that were offended by my actions. I don’t hate Mobetto, though I request her to prioritise the boy’s future; posting pictures online won’t help.
“All the videos Mobetto is posting online – of herself and I in bed – won’t help her. I cannot leave Zari Hassan; I am ready to walk on my knees to South Africa to plead with Zari to forgive me,” said Diamond Platnumz.
Zari Hassan says her prime focus for now is her 37th birthday, which she will celebrate on September 23.
Addressing her fans on Instagram Wednesday, Zari Hassan wrote: “Ladies and gentlemen I have heard you loud and clear, the advises, the consolation, the pity, the hurt you feeling on my behalf; most of all the betrayal. But let’s look at this on the positive side. That said, with my birthday approaching let’s put all this negative energy behind us and appreciate life.”
Zari Hassan and Diamond Platnumz have two children together Latiffah Dangote, 2, and Prince Nillan, who will turn One on December 7.
Ms Hassan has three children from a previous marriage with the late Ugandan tycoon, Ivan Ssemwanga.
