American rapper Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, has been released from jail.
Young Thug was placed in jail last week after failing a drug test.
The test had been ordered in connection with Thug’s felony drug-related charges.
“I just want to be home with my family and do right,” Young Thug told the court ahead of being released from DeKalb County Jail in Georgia Wednesday.
He also said he was “sorry” for “disobeying the court.”
Officials told XXL magazine they have reinstated Thug’s $100,000 (Ksh10.3 million) bond and that he is allowed to return home.
Young Thug’s release comes with a few conditions: He must submit to a random drug test at least twice a week, keep in contact with his probation officer, and also receive substance abuse counseling.
