Woman killed, body parts eaten by dogs in Siaya

Residents of Ulafu Sub-Location in Alego/Usonga Sub-County in Siaya County on Tuesday woke up to a shocking incident, in which the body of a middle-aged woman was found dumped in a bush at Onyango Village.

East Alego Location Chief Jared Abiero said the woman’s body, which was discovered by boda boda operators, is yet to be identified.

Abiero says a strong stench of a decomposing body caught the attention of the motorcycle riders, who proceeded to the bush and found the woman’s body badly mutilated.

The administrator revealed that the woman’s hands had partly been eaten by dogs.

Abiero suspects that the woman, who is not known by area residents, was killed elsewhere and her body abandoned in the thicket at Onyango Village.

The deceased was moved to Siaya County Referral Hospital mortuary.

Investigations into the incident have been launched.
