Why singer Victoria Kimani ‘envies’ her parents

Chocolate City diva Victoria Kimani says she wishes to find long-lasting love like her parents who have been married for 39 years.

The Toto singer took to Instagram on Wednesday, May 11 to celebrate her parents’ wedding anniversary.

Ms Kimani’s mum and dad celebrated 39 years of marriage on May 7, and the singer has a great admiration for them.

Victoria says she is praying for love similar to that of her parents.

“39 years … mom and dad …. I pray for a love like this,” she captioned a collage of her parents’ photos on social media.

One picture shows the pair during their wedding; and another shows the couple that has grown old together; nearly four decades since tying the knot.

The Show hit-maker is currently not dating.

In January, 2016 interview on Tanzanian reality show, Sporah hosted by Sporah Njau, Victoria Kimani opened up on her celebrity and dating life.

She made it clear that she has been single since joining the music industry and she insisted that she will never date a celebrity.

Victoria said she has never thought of dating at the moment and would rather pay more attention to her music career that she started about two years ago.

“I am not in relationship with anyone because I haven’t found the right guy. Moreover, being an artiste many men tend not to take me seriously so I would rather pay attention to my music,” she said.

“I know I have been rumoured to be going out with a few people but I have never dated any of them,” she added.

The gorgeous singer also added that she hates celebrity life because it makes it difficult for her to live a normal life.

“This is because many things that come with the celebrity lifestyle are being misunderstood and that’s the part I don’t like,” she added.

That was the fourth time Victoria was refuting such claims. In 2015, she refuted claims that she was dating Harambee Stars captain, Victor Wanyama, Tanzania’s bongo flava finest Diamond Platinumz, Nigerian star Wizkid.
