Hip Hop mogul Jay Z has thrown his weight behind Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, saying that her Republican counterpart, Donald Trump, is not fit to be president.
In a last minute effort to drum up support for Clinton before voters go to the polls on Tuesday, Jay Z Beyonce and a host of other Hip Hop chart-toppers staged a “Get Out and Vote” concert in Cleveland, Ohio.
During the much-hyped show, Jay Z said that – though he does not have any ill will towards Trump – he does not think he’s a suitable leader because he has divided the country.
“This other guy, I don’t have any ill will … he cannot be my president,” Jay Z said. “He cannot be our president. Once you divide us, you weaken us, we are stronger together…” he said to a charged crowd.
Beyoncé, who has been vocal about her stand as a feminist, said she backs Clinton in the upcoming polls because it would set an example for her daughter, Blue Ivy.
“I want my daughter to grow up seeing a women lead our country and knowing that her possibilities are limitless. And that’s why I am with her,” he said.
Already, Clinton has made history for being the first female Presidential candidate to fly the Democratic flag.
Should she clinch the presidency when the results are announced on November 9th, Clinton will be America’s first female president.
