If you did not believe that Kayole’s finest, Khaligraph Jones, is the Kenyan Hip Hop, you should check out the SO that he’s gotten from Diamond Platnumz’s Wasafi Records.
In a video posted online, the Diamond’s crew is seen partying and singing along to Khaligraph’s runaway hit Mazishi.
In the video, top Wasafi Records artistes – Harmonize and Rayvanny – drop bars from the 2016 hit.
The clip, which was shot at Rayvanny’s exclusive poolside birthday bash, shows Daimond and his boys getting down with a bevy of made up beauties.
Speaking to eDaily just a day after the video was uploaded, Khaligraph said that he was pleased that the top East African stable esteemed his work.
“It’s definitely a good thing. As an artiste you feel great when you see people appreciating your work –especially top acts like Diamond, Harmonize and Rayvanny,” Papa Jones said.
So how did he come across the video?
“My people told me Diamond and his crew had a party and they played my song Mazishi. The video was uploaded on YouTube, so I took a clip and shared it with my fans on social media,” he said.
The video, which has already gotten over 20,000 views in less than 48 hours, prompted whispers about a possible Tanzania-Kenya collabo.
When asked about it, Khaligraph said: “Yes, fans can expect some East African collabos from me. My music has been getting attention from the region, and I am in talks with different artistes.”
That said, the top rapper said that it could take some time.
“This thing is usually a process it takes time to get people. You don’t just call people and tell them to come and collaborate,” he explained.
