Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti’s husband, Dolamu Henry Oduwole, is dead.
Announcing Mr Oduwole’s demise on her Facebook page, Ndeti said that he passed on early Sunday morning.
“I am deeply saddened to announce the demise of my beloved husband, Dolamu Henry Oduwole, who passed on early this morning. He fought the good fight and as a family, we pray that God will grant us strength to endure this devastating loss. May God grant my families in Kenya and Nigeria, our friends, partners and the people of Machakos a comforting hand during this trying time. Rest well my Darling, till we meet again,” she wrote.
Speaking to eDaily, Ndeti’s brother Raphael Musyoki said that the deceased, who had sick for some time, passed on while receiving treatment at a Nairobi hospital.
“Wavinya called me at about 1:30am, saying her husband was not feeling well. I rushed from my home in Athi River, only to find that he had already passed on. As a family, we have already accepted what has happened,” he said.
Condolence messages have been streaming since the death announcement, with many social media users expressing sympathy for the family.
“On my behalf and that of the Mbaitu FM fraternity, we stand with the family to share this profound loss and pray to the almighty God to give them strength to bear the loss of a loved one,” said Charity Ngilu.
