Veteran Nigerian actress Zainab Bukky Ajayi is dead aged 82.

“Mummy passed away about 30 minutes ago. God knows best,” said Kunle, who is a rapper and actor.

According to TNS, Bukky succumbed to heart-related complications which she had been battling for long.

She passed on at her Surulere residence in Lagos.

Before her death, she requested her family for an immediate burial; therefore she was laid to rest at 4pm on Wednesday, July 6 at Atan Cemetery.

Bukky Ajayi was widely respected in and beyond Nollywood for her acting ingenuity.

On June 15, 2016, a group of Nollywood film stars visited the legendary actress at her home.
