Socialite Vera Sidika says her relationship with musician Otile Brown is founded on genuine love, and not a desire to send the rumour mill talking.
This comes after speculations swirled into their decision to delete each other’s pictures from social media.
Sections of online users accused the lovers of engaging in showbusiness, given Otile Brown released a song titled “Baby Love” shortly after claiming that he had broken up with the video vixen.
The lovers had even removed each other’s photographs from their online pages.
Speaking to EDAILY on phone Thursday, Vera said they resorted to deleting each other’s images so as to “get rid of hate messages, which were being directed our way”.
“We wanted to avoid too much bile that online users were directing at us. Many people were talking about Otile Brown and Vera Sidika’s affair. We sat down and decided to shape the agenda of what was being said about us on our timelines,” said Vera Sidika.
“We did not delete the pictures to make people think that we had broken up,” said the socialite.
When asked why Otile Brown took to his social media pages to claim they had broken up, a few days to July 31, when Otile released their new song called “Baby Love”, Vera said: “[The love we portray in the music video] says it all.
The music video has over one million views thus far.
Vera Sidika and Otile Brown have been lovers since April this year.
The lovebirds have since visited each other’s family.
