Kenya Breweries Limited on Thursday rewarded two winners with tickets to watch the Grand Prix Championship in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The two winners, Samuel Ngeru and Virginia Wahu will travel on Friday November 23 to November 26, 2018 for a motorsport racing experience courtesy of Johnnie Walker.
Speaking during the air ticket handover, Johnnie Walker Brand Manager Wanjiku Njonjo said, “This campaign is aimed at appreciating and rewarding loyal consumers of our Johnnie Walker whisky by offering them an opportunity to watch Formula 1 races.”
“As a brand, we take pride in presenting to our consumers awe-inspiring experiences that are memorable as these which eventually leads to complete consumer satisfaction,” she added.
The grand winners are the last two to enjoy this year’s Formula 1 circuit that kicked off in March.
The circuit comprised of 21 races, with the grand finale culminating this month in Abu Dhabi. Each year, Abu Dhabi exhibits its glamour and attractions, as it rivals Monaco with the Formula One Grand Prix.
“In 2017, EABL’s spirits business grew 14 percent, partly driven by Johnnie Walker, which grew at 17 percent. Johnnie Walker brands have consistently continued to record double-digit growth in sales,” reads a statement sent to Citizen Digital on Thursday.
This year marked the first time the long-standing partnership between Johnnie Walker and Formula 1 came to Kenya.
