Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) radio presenter Wilkister Muga has passed on.
Ms Muga passed on at the Coptic Hospital on Wednesday, March 2 after a short illness, reports KBC.
She was a well-known radio producer, news reader and the presenter of KBC Current Affairs Programme.
KBC’s Managing Director Waithaka Waihenya sent condolences to the family of the deceased.
Waihenya described the deceased as a diligent and conscientious journalist who was honest and hardworking.
KBC’s Editor in Chief Samuel Maina also sent his condolences to the family.
Wilkister was one of the longest serving radio presenters at the national broadcaster with over 15 years of service at the station.
She will be remembered for her proficiency in the Swahili language.
Ms Muga’s longtime co-news reader Jacob Mugoa expressed his shock after receiving the heartbreaking news.
“Ooh not again! Life can be very cruel sometimes. Rest in peace my sister Wilkister Muga. Still in shock!” he remarked.
