Top Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh confirmed last week that she separated from her entrepreneur husband Churchill Oladunni, says Nigeria’s Pulse.
In an open letter to a fan, namely Joel Ikenna Maskot, who inquired about Ms Dikeh’s troubled marriage and her alleged smoking habit, Ms Dikeh confirmed that she is no longer living together with Mr Oladunni.
And on her alleged smoking habit, Tonto Dikeh told Mr Maskot that “drug tests performed on her turned out negative”.
“…to address a little bit of your letter, firstly I say I do appreciate your concern. Then I move on to say thank you.
“When a woman leaves her husband, she takes her child because absolutely nothing else matters to her but the child. This is what I did and I happily give all access for his father to see him.
“Now my question to you is that did your source also tell you that he has never called for once to ask how his son is doing? I will admit I personally blocked his access to me for the sake of my emotional stability.
“But, nonetheless, he has the nanny’s (cell phone) number, my assistant’s contact, my part time help’s number, and many other mediums of reaching the son your source claims I “took away”.
“He could use all possible mediums wisely if he wished to.
“Secondly, I will let you go on the ill talk on smoking as I would love to believe you were just sent and ignored my drug test result or you never even saw it in the first place.
“As an acclaimed “concerned fan” I expect you to pray and not to indirectly throw “concerned” shades.
“What goes on in my marriage and home is my personal life, I’m grateful for all the years of support you all have been giving me, but when it comes to matters of the heart, have enough respect to let us go through our moments alone…,” said Tonto Dikeh.
Until their recent marriage hurdle, Tonto Dikeh and her husband had enjoyed a chunk of a romance and happy moments.
According to Nigeria’s Naij, Tonto Dikeh and Churchill Oladunni began having problems in marriage during the last trimester of Tonto’s pregnancy.
Churchill, a businessman and philanthropist, was said to have been seen with different women at entertainment joints in Lagos.
Tonto Dikeh reportedly confronted her husband on his alleged affairs, but Churchill would deny.
Tonto Dikeh, consequently, behaved violently on some occasions, breaking expensive items in the house, said the informant.
The source revealed Churchill thought it was a phase in marriage that would end, but he was shocked when Tonto packed her belonging and left their matrimonial home.
Tonto Dikeh was also said to have suffered mood swings, both during her pregnancy and even after having the baby, which was attributed to post-partum depression.
Since Tonto Dikeh left home with their son, Churchill claimed he has been unsuccessfully trying to reach her.
Tonto Dikeh and Churchill Oladunni got married in August, 2015 – and have a 1-year-old son, namely Andre.
