This the one thing you should NOT do at Rihanna’s concert…seriously

If you are planning to attend a Rihanna concert, you better not play Pokémon Go while RiRi is on stage.

During her Sunday night concert in France the This is What You Came For told her fans that they should not focus on what they came for when they attend her concerts: her electric performance and nothing else.

“I don’t want to see you texting your boyfriends or your girlfriends. I don’t want to see you catching any Pokémons up in this [expletive].”

Over the last few weeks, Pokémon Go – a location based augmented reality game that allows players to capture, train and battle virtual creatures – has taken over several international markets.

The game, which was released in July 2016, has gained a viral following, raising safety concerns as some diehard fans have been so engrossed in the game that they have caused accidents.

Speaking to Fox News, Chris Carmichael, founder and chief creative architect of augmented reality specialist Ubiquity Inc, said that there is concern about people putting themselves in danger because of getting overly involved in the game.

“The Geographical mapping feature in Pokémon Go is leading people in areas that they should be avoiding and the nature of the game creates distractions so that people are not paying any attention to where they are. There is certainly a concern about players getting so engrossed in the game, that they put themselves in dangerous situations,” Carmichael warned.

If that doesn’t get you rethinking how much you play the game, maybe RiRi’s warning will.

Rihanna is currently on a world tour promoting her latest album: ANTI.
