Kenya’s top boy band Sauti Sol has been touring the country since February 13 – and the bus they are using for their travel around is spectacular!
Sauti Sol kicked off one of their biggest traveling music tour when they started off with the Live and Die in Afrika album launch in Nairobi during the Valentine’s Day weekend.
The music group’s general tour is aimed at promoting their recently released album.
The award-winning ensemble is Kenya’s first music group to have customised their bus in such a manner – having their album cover portraits emblazoned all over the vehicle. Such grand branding is usually a preserve of big corporate like telecommunications companies, media firms among others when they are on promotional tour of their products.
The Afro-fusion band’s tour bus has been customised by long distance public service transport company, Modern Coast.
Sauti Sol has hitherto toured Nairobi, Kisumu and Nakuru. The boy group will be in Eldoret on Sunday, April 23.
Sauti Sol’s official statement during the Live and Die in Afrika album launch said they put a lot of effort into materializing the new collection.
“It feels like we have been preparing for this momentous concert for our entire career! We can’t wait for Kenya and all our fans to see us launch the album Live and Die in Afrika in what will be the best concert Kenya has seen yet!
“We are here to give great music, a world-class show, support local talent as you will see by the list of professionals who are part of this concert that will kick off our countrywide tour. We have been hiding in serious full-day rehearsals for months, it’s time to show the world what we got,” Sauti Sol said.
