Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala has announced that Kenyans would be allowed free entry into the Nairobi National Park on Sunday, April 14.
The CS made the announcement on Saturday during the Global March for Wildlife at the Kenya Wildlife Service Headquarters in Langata, Nairobi.
According to KWS communications head, Paul Udoto, the decision was inspired by a need to show appreciation of the youth who took part in the march in large numbers.
Normal rates for entry into the orphanage are: Ksh430 for Kenyan adults and Ksh215 for children; adult foreigners in Kenya would part with Ksh1, 030 to enter the park, while foreigners’ children would pay Ksh515.
Non Kenyan residents are often set back Ksh4, 300 for adults and Ksh2, 200 for children.
CS Balala’s message was tweeted on KWS handle.
