Diamond Platnumz’s lover, Tanasha Oketch, was put on the defensive recently, when an Instagram user expressed doubts on her body shape following a picture she posted on the platform, which, seemingly, exaggerated her curves.
Tanasha’s photograph showed her in the company of her musician boyfriend, Diamond. She was dressed in a body-hugging black dinner dress, while Diamond sported a maroon 2-piece suit.
“Where have you gotten this [body] shape, Tanasha? We know you quite well, [and you are not as curvy as the picture you have posted here portrays],” said an online user, whose name is Mapesa Vee.
Well-equipped with a ready response, Tanasha clapped back at Vee, saying: “[You perceive me to be curvier than how I normally appear]. It is called well-fitting clothes, my friend. I don’t edit [my pictures in a bid to portray me as curvier than I actually am.”
Tanasha’s body shape has been a subject of discussion on Tanzanian blogs, with many outlets suggesting that Diamond downgraded from the high standards he had set when he was dating Zari Hassan, Wema Sepetu, Jokate Mwegelo, Penny Mungilwa, among others, who were “extremely curvy”.
In a past interview, Diamond, however, showered praise on Tanasha, saying “of all the women he has dated, Tanasha was the prettiest.“
“No woman in my life – present or in the past – matches the prettiness, body physique and character of Tanasha,” said Diamond in a December, 2018 interview with Ijumaa Newspaper.
Tanasha also addressed suggestions that she completely do away with her characteristic tomboy look, given “she looks better in dresses”.
In her response, the NRG Radio host said: “The tomboy look will still be a part of me; that won’t change. Dresses, for me, are for occasions, or when I want to feel girly.
