The highest paid celebrity in 2016, Taylor Swift, is contemplating about filing a criminal case against Kanye West for recording their phone conversation illegally, and against Kim Kardashian for releasing the audio online, reports TMZ.
In the conversation, the artists are overheard discussing certain lyrics from Kanye’s publicised Famous track- ‘I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex’ leaving out the last part of the line saying he made Swift famous.
The Shake it off hit-maker has consequently taken to Instagram to react on the snapchat audio conversation uploaded by Kim, terming the said lyrics as character assassination.
A source privy to Taylor told TMZ that she is pondering on the consequences of filing a police report.
“When Taylor’s team found out about the recording, her lawyer fired off a letter to Kanye’s attorney, threatening legal action and notifying him the recording was a criminal violation punishable as felony,” the source was quoted as saying.
“In addition, a party to a phone conversation cannot record it unless all parties agree.”
