Hours after Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General Wilson Sossion rubbished reports that he and his wife, Vivianne Kenduiywa, have split – and even posted a video to prove their unity, Citizen Extra’s Views On The News panelists, Jazz and Rapcha The Sayantist have produced a video akin to Mr Sossion’s in what has been dubbed #SossionChallenge.
A report on the Nairobian newspaper published on Friday, March 31, claimed that Mr Sossion, 48, dumped Ms Kenduiywa, 32, nearly a year after the two tied the knot in a colourful ceremony.
According to the newspaper, Ms Kenduiywa was allegedly cheating on the KNUT boss with a wealthy man based in Eldoret, and when Mr Sossion got to know about the affair, he decided to end their one-year marriage.
Nairobian claims that “despite repeated intervention from Mr Sossion’s family, the Knut boss is determined to end the marriage since he reportedly has proof that Ms Kenduiywa has been cheating on him.”
The newspaper added that “Mr Sossion immediately threw his wife out and has resisted pleas by her family to forgive her.”
According to the newspaper, Vivianne “had issue with Sossion keeping in touch and supporting a Lang’ata based woman namely Karen, who Mr Sossion has a son with” – and that is what sparked her decision to creep out of the marriage.
However, Mr Sossion and his wife, have come out to debunk the reports, terming them malicious – and insisting that his marriage to Vivianne is intact.
In a selfie video shot by Sossion and his wife – and obtained by EDAILY, Sossion said: “We are here in Bomet and happy. What is in the Nairobian are lies. And we shall sue the newspaper for malicious damage. We are here at our home and we are prepared for the day. I will attend a prize giving day in a school and my wife will be at home. So that is who we are.”
Sossion married Ms Kenduiywa six years after his first wife’s demise in 2010 following a road accident.
Mr Sossion is a father of three children.
