Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter and actress Mary J. Blige on Thursday got her star at the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
In a tale of double win for the songstress, the induction fell on the same day she was celebrating her 47th birthday.
A photo of the songstress during the glitzy ceremony that was attended by fellow musician Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in Hollywood, California, was posted on Twitter by international magazine outlet MEFeater Magazine.
A number of Twitter users chose to overlook the fact that the hugely successful music icon now has her name where many dream of theirs to be. Instead, they decided to pick on her hair.
Some of the phrases that have been used to refer to the singer turned actress by tweeps are “golden doo doo” and “crispy chicken”.
Others are simply wondering who advised her on her style of hair while another asked who was responsible of doing her “fav aunty’s hair.”
Man… Kongrats! But…. Who suggested that hair tho?

The optimists have however congratulated the Grammy Award winner on her well earned achievement, few of them noting that “it’s been long overdue”.
The popular American musician and self acclaimed ‘queen of hip-hop soul’, Mary J. Blige celebrated her birthday in style as her name was added along Hollywood Boulevard, joining other famous personalities like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart.
Mary J. Blige is well known for her hit single ‘Be without you’ that won best R&B song in 2007. She has 9 Grammy awards to her name and has sold 75 million records worldwide.
Away from music Mary has also starred in several movies over the years. In Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself Mary played a supporting role. In 2016, the artist also starred in the popular TV drama How to Get Away With Murder.
Last year she was nominated for a Golden Globe nomination for best supporting actress in the movie Mudbound as well as Critics’ Choice Movie Award for the same. She, however, did not receive the award in the recently concluded 75th Golden Globe Awards.
This is definitely a step in the right direction for Mary J. Blige’s career.
