Kenyans on Twitter have expressed their opinions on the viral audio recording of popular Kenyan musician Redsan allegedly beating up his producer.
A section of the online users have called for the arrest of the ‘Badder than most’ hitmaker, with others urging for calm in order to listen to Redsan’s side of the story which led to his physical reaction against his longtime producer and friend.
And, in true Kenyan fashion, there are also those who have taken the moment to come up with memes and create humour in the situation.
In the audio clip, Redsan – real name Swabri Mohammed – and producer Sappy are heard exchanging words before Redsan tells Sappy to shut up and a confrontation ensues.
The producer then goes ahead to claim that he recorded Redsan’s recently released ‘Baddest’ album launch for free, which only serves to land him more beating as he calls for help from a security guard.
Redsan then tells the producer that he has no respect, while seemingly asking him to get up and fight back like a man.
Below are a few reactions from social media users:
Wow the way stuff about the Baddest concert/album launch is unfolding is so scrappy. First it was Demarco and his strange performance then Tiwa and her hotel expenses and no transport to the airport. Now to top it all Redsan beat up his producer who did his album for free.

I have just seen Redsan's story about beating up his producer and I personally won't judge him before knowing what actually happened because this situation has regrettably happened to me. I have been in a scuffle with a producer before and there was a story beyond the kascuffle

This story of #Redsan & his boy, producer and close friend #Sappy is very sad, violence never solves anything in fact it worsens the situation. You guys need to sit down and iron out your differences, Sappy's grievances should be heard as well as Redsan's. Wish u guys well pic.twitter.com/nG4IRH394Y
