Kenyan singer Big Nascent, born Moses Kilonzo, has landed a top position with the County government of Machakos.
In a Gazette notice published last week, Big Nascent was appointed to head the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) committee in Mavoko Constituency, Machakos County.
The visually impaired artiste was named alongside six others in the top post as a representative of persons living with disabilities.
The former Boomba Boiz member says he is delighted by the appointment and he acknowledges the demands of the job, but promises to continue churning out music.
Nascent says he will prioritize sports and arts sectors in Mavoko Constituency.
In June, 2015 Nascent hit showbiz headlines, when he sensationally accused rapper Colonel Moustapha of ‘stealing’ his wife.
Colonel Moustapha was consequently arrested by CID officers few weeks later for allegedly shooting an “obscene” music video for Dodoma Singida with Big Nascent’s wife.
Big Nascent said he never imagined that a friend and fellow artiste would actually “go behind his back” and elope with his wife.
“I am in a very sad moment right now,” the singer told Star’s Word Is.
“I’ve been married to my wife for three years and I never imagined that she could leave me for somebody else. She has been my “eyes” all along. Accompanying and guiding my every step wherever I go. But Moustapha has stolen that from me. I’ve known him for over seven years now and we’ve since become close friends. For him to go behind my back and involve my legally-wedded wife in such an obscene video hit me way below the belt.”
He said that after even agreeing to solve the issue as label-mates, Moustapha, played him.
