Nigerian singer D’Banj last Thursday received his entertainment icon plaque from the Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television, Arts and Sports Awards (BEFFTA).
D’banj who’s on a tour of the United Kingdom, announced on his social media page that he received his award from Lord John Bird, a parliamentarian.
“Yesterday (Thursday, November 10), I received the #BEFFTA Entertainment Icon Award at the British House of Parliament in Westminster, London from Lord John Bird. I am Humbled for this unique opportunity to be a beacon of Visible Hope,” D’Banj said.
BEFFTA is regarded as Europe’s biggest award ceremony for black and ethnic minority.
The eighth edition of the event was attended by stars from the UK, Europe, U.S.A., Asia and Africa.
BEFFTA is aimed at honouring the best entertainment, showbiz, leadership and sports personalities in the UK and across the globe.
