Colombian pop musician Shakira is once again shaking things up in Miami Beach, listing a waterfront mansion she owns in the area for sale at $11.7 million (Ksh1.2 billion).
This is the fourth time the property has been on the market since the singer bought it in 2001 for Ksh342 million, public records show.
At 8,700 square feet, the two-story estate blends minimalist interiors with flairs that reflect the singer’s Colombian-Lebanese heritage.
The house is bright and white, with a minimalist, contemporary aesthetic. Double doors open to the dining room and a large window looks out onto the back yard and pool.
The living room has a modern fireplace, with a silver-framed mirror hanging above it. Three sets of French doors open to the backyard. Shakira commissioned custom furniture in this room, which looks symmetrical from virtually every angle.
The kitchen is sleek and spare, with gleaming white, European-style cabinets, a double wine fridge and top-of-the-line appliances.
The entertainment room features nearly floor-to-ceiling windows, with views of the backyard and Biscayne Bay.
Shakira outfitted a bay window with a blue and white couch and hookah. The room includes an all-white pool table and comfy couch for watching movies.
Elsewhere, there’s a home gym, home office, pool with a wooden deck and cabana and two-car garage.
Shakira has previously unsuccessfully tried to sell her Miami property without any success.
In 2013, Shakira listed the same property at $14.95 million (Ksh1.5 billion), cutting the price every now and then.
Shakira’s brother, Douglas Elliman and agent, Antonio Mebarak are helping in the process of selling the Miami property.
