Shake Yo Bam Bam, Sauti Sol tells fans in fresh song

It looks like the dancehall bug has bitten Sauti Sol as their latest track Shake Yo Bam Bam has a distinct dancehall beat.

Multi-award winning boy band released the 90’s themed dance track and video on Wednesday, and it has already gained considerable online traction. The band trended on Twitter as users shared their views about the new song.

Flanked by gyrating females, the band delivers an excellent performance in the three-and-a-half-minute clip. #TeamMafisi is undoubtedly happy with this, and some have even begun ‘investigations’ into the women who made cameos on the music video.

Vocally, Bien has outdone himself on this track. His singing buoys song’s catchy hook and his adlibs at the end give the song a signature Sauti Sol feel.

The song, which is the fifth single off Sauti Sol’s upcoming third album, breaks away from the soulful vibes of their last song-Nereah.

Sauti Sol has gone the Nicki Minaj way in their new clip with overt product placement. Even with the fast pace of the video, the advertising is not lost on you.

“The advertising could be subtler. But still everyone is going to lose their mind over this because it’s Sauti Sol and they danced with Obama,” commented Franklin Sunday.

The song was co-written by Lingala legend Awilo Longomba and the video was shot by renowned Nigerain producer Clarence Peters.

What do you think about the song?
