Security lunges at man who attempted to grab Mudavadi during NASA rally – VIDEO

The security officers of the National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Musalia Mudavadi lunged at a man who attempted to grab the Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader during a campaign rally at Uhuru Park in Nairobi Saturday.

The man – yet to be identified – dashed to the podium, where the four NASA principals (Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula) were dancing and joshing the mammoth crowd, who turned up for the rally.

Before he could reach Mudavadi, security agents at the VIP dais whisked away the man to an unknown place. The spectacle did not dampen the mood as the principals did a last jig before closure of the official campaign season.

NASA was holding its last rally ahead of the general election penciled in for Tuesday, August 8.

IEBC had set Saturday, August 5 as the last day for political campaigns, as the law stipulates that all campaigns should cease 48 hours to the general poll.
