Arianna Grande has misplaced a highly-priced necklace during the billboard award performance on Sunday, May 20.
The diamond choker by Djula jewelry, which is estimated to cost $169,000 (KSh17.1 million), was last seen on Arianna Grande’s neck while she was in the middle of a performance.
Halfway through her performance of “No Tears Left to Cry,” the pop singer suddenly lost the expensive necklace making her team to go ballistic.
Talking to Page Six, the representative of Djula said: “This is the first time a piece has broken while a celebrity was wearing it.”
Djula’s PR representative, however, stated that the clasp of the necklace had a faulty mechanism which would have caused it to fall off.
The representative added: “It would be ‘unrealistic’ to send security to guard pricey gems whenever they’re loaned to stars.
“Luckily, the piece didn’t slide off the stage! It was found on the side of the stage in a far corner, to everyone’s relief.”
The necklace was a highly-valued piece as it featured more than 45 carats of diamond.
