Deputy President Dr William Ruto hosted FBI dance group at his Karen residence ahead of the group’s departure to Arizona, USA, for a global Hip Hop dance competition.
The DP posted pictures of himself dancing with the group on Tuesday, a gesture that has elicited thousands of reactions on his official Facebook page.
“With the Focus Beyond Imagination (FBI) dance group that will represent Kenya at the World Hip Hop Championships in Arizona, USA and [I] later met the Kenya Film Classification Board,” the DP captioned his images, saying he is committed to “supporting the youth exploit their talents, harness skills to earn a living, especially for young people engaged in sports and dance as a commercial activity”.
Facebook user Bin Maney said: “Congratulations for winning the best PR [stunt] in the world.”
Kiptoo Maru said: “Some will complain that you are taking over the job of the Kenya Film Board.”
Isaac Mugunda said: “I thought you were promoting a Nigerian movie.”

The global Hip Hop dance competition will be held in Phoenix, Arizona between August 5 and August 10, 2019. Over 4, 000 dancers would take part in the contest.
