American rapper Rick Ross suffered seizures and had trouble breathing before performing at the B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in New York City on April 23, only four days before he embarked on a journey to Kenya.
“His team had to get a masseuse to massage him for an hour to relax his body,” a source told Page Six.
Fans in attendance reportedly had to wait over an hour before Rick Ross took the stage, where he performed for the New York crowd.
He is yet to address the alleged incident, but a report says he is “feeling good.”
Rick Ross has suffered multiple health scares like this. Last year, he opened up about a series of seizures that deeply impacted his life.
“I just woke up to a new reality,” he said, “a reality where my lifestyle, me sleeping three hours a night, me eating T-bone steaks [at] 3 in the morning…caught up with me and…my body couldn’t take it anymore.”
Despite his apparent lifestyle changes, Rick Ross suffered another medical emergency on March 1, 2018. He was reportedly hospitalised after being found unresponsive at his home in Davie, Florida. Then, he was transferred to a different hospital due to heart-related complications. Many worried about Rick Ross at the time, particularly as reports said he was on life support.
In the face of the April 23 health scare in New York, Rick Ross still managed to travel to Kenya for the NRG Wave concert, which went down on Saturday, April 28 at the Carnivore Grounds in Nairobi. He rocked his fans for close to an hour.
Rick Ross is now working on his next album, ‘Port of Miami II: Born to Kill.’
