Rapper AY showers praise on Kenyans

Legendary Tanzanian rapper AY, born Ambwene Allen Yessayah, has marveled at Kenyans’ aggression in pursuing their dreams.

Speaking to eDaily on Thursday, April 27, AY said he sees Kenya as a second home, besides his native Tanzania.

“Kenya is like my second home after Tanzania. The country’s climate is great. Kenyan people are aggressive when pursuing their dreams, and if you ask me, that is commendable. They are also good at thinking on their feet; their (business, investment, development) ideas are often on point, and in most instances, yield desired results. Kenya has a huge potential of becoming more successful than she is now,” AY said.

AY is known for top hits, which he featured East African celebrated artistes such as Kenya’s Jaguar (in the song titled Nimetoka Mbali); another collabo with Kenya’s Amani (in the song titled Usiwe Mbali) among others.

AY and Amani dated back in mid 2000s before splitting a few years into their relationship.

The rapper recently released a blockbuster track titled Zigo, which he featured Tanzanian heavyweight Diamond Platnumz.
