Legendary Tanzanian rapper Ambwene Yessayah, better known by his stage name AY, says he will no longer shoot his music videos in South Africa – a country which many East African artistes have frequented in recent past for video shoots due to her picturesque sceneries.
Speaking on EATV Thursday, AY said his resolve was shaped by his desire to cut logistical costs.
“I want to shift locations of music video shoots from South Africa and change part of my management crew,” he said.
“I am looking forward to cutting the production costs of my music videos. I want to concentrate on quality videos that would be produced here (Tanzania),” AY added.
AY recently released a new track titled El Chapo. The hit single was directed by Mr Shedipro – a Tanzanian who is based South Africa.
