DJ Pierra Makena has called out a local newspaper for referring to her as “lazy” and “not-so-bootylicious” nearly a year after she gave birth to her daughter.
The article on the pull-out of a local daily insinuated that the entertainer “has not gotten back her killer body, several months after she gave birth, because of laziness”.
The report went on to refer to her hairstyle as a “burning bush”, when she was spotted at Coke Studio Africa event at Carnivore Grounds.
A furious Makena took to Instagram to post a video, condemning the article, saying shedding off baby fat is not as easy as many “men or women seated in some office” would think.
“The last thing a person should tell a mother is how bad she looks. Putting her down is unfair and uncouth. This should stop. I speak as a mom! And kudos to all women and mothers looking gorgeous and bringing up beautiful children! The beauty is in the children we have. I was deeply hurt,” said Makena.
