Kenya’s A-list celebrities were treated to a sneak preview of the third season of Coke Studio Africa last night at an exclusive Nairobi hotel.
At the party, the Coke Studio team revealed that they have revamped the concept of the show. Unlike the previous season where they rearranged artists’ hit songs, season 3 will feature mash-ups.
To make a mash up, the Coke studio producers select and blend songs that artists have already released. In an interesting twist, artists will only discover which of their songs was selected when they arrive at the Coke Studio set.
This is just but one of the new features of the third season of the program.
The music show, which will be airing on Citizen TV,will feature top acts from Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania and Mozambique.
In addition to previewing the show, guests had the opportunity to party with the Coke Studio artists and global R & B Sensation, Ne-Yo.
The high energy bash was hosted by celebrated media personality, Amina Abdi.
