‘Papa Shirandula’ actress Awinja quits radio

Actress Jacky Vike popularly known as Awinja has officially quit Qwetu radio after two years on air.

Taking to Instagram to announce the news, Awinja termed the decision to leave radio as “one of the hardest decision to make” but that “I have to leave to go attend to other things.”

“I promise once I am through you will definitely hear me back on air,” adds the jovial Papa Shirandula  actress.

Awinja further extended her gratitude to Vincent Ateya – former presenter and Programmes Manager at Qwetu Radio now Cluster Programmes Manager for Royal Media Services’ Mulembe, Sulwe and Vuuka radios – “for believing in me and giving me a chance on Radio.”

“Fans, thank you for being a family, I will miss the interactions we had on social media and the amazing phone calls you made,” she added.
