Chris Brown did not smash a fan’s phone at the Moi International Airport (MIA) when he arrived Saturday 10am, says MIA security boss.
Speaking to eDaily after Nairobi News ran with the phone smashing story, the top security official questioned the authenticity of such reports as members of the media were not allowed to cover the R&B star’s arrival.
He says no complainant has come forward to report that his or her phone was smashed by the singer.
However, he admits Chris Brown took photos with a few fans who received him at the airport 10am Saturday.
Chris Brown’s promoter in Kenya, Thandie, has refuted the reports, saying she was with the singer when he arrived at the airport – and she claims no ‘phone smashing’ took place.
“The reports are false, and they come across as malicious,” she said.
Brown is expected to headline a concert, Mombasa Rocks Festival, on Sarurday, October 8 alongside Nigeria’s Wizkid.
The event begins at 2pm and ends at 2am Sunday at the Mombasa Golf Club.
