Popular media personality, Njambi Koikai, is seeking KSh5 million for medical treatment.
Ms Koikai took to Facebook to request for financial support after undergoing a surgery from an American-based hospital.
“I’m in need of your help to raise USD 50,000 (KSh5 million) to pay for the pending hospital bill and cost of therapy,” she said.
Njambi Koikai, popularly known as ‘Fayah mama’, has gone through a series of surgeries and complications ever since she was diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 29.
Endometriosis is when the tissue that makes up the uterine lining (the lining of the womb) is present on other organs inside your body. Endometriosis is usually found in the lower abdomen, or pelvis, but can appear anywhere in the body.
Ms Koikai says she is currently recovering from a dental surgery which she underwent so as to manage her condition.
“I am chilling in the recovery room after dental surgery. Endometriosis spread all the way to my mouth. These are things to look out for. Endometriosis and hormonal imbalance can also spread to your mouth,” she said.
“They couldn’t sedate me completely as my heart is still being monitored so I felt every bit of what was going on (during the surgery). All I could think of was Isaiah 41:13. For I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand, who says to you, do not fear for I am with you.
“It has not been an easy journey for me mentally. I could see the sadness in my mom’s eyes and my sister’s voice but they have held me together,” she narrated.
Njambi says she is scheduled to see a cardiologist later this week, when she will undergo hydrotherapy to strengthen her lungs.
To help Njambi raise funds for medical treatment, you can send your contributions to paybill number 490681.
