Rapper Nicki Minaj has blasted a number of artistes, including Drake, Eminem, 50 Cent and her ex-lover Meek Mill, in one of the songs in her new album called “Queen”, released last Friday, August 10.
In the song “Barbie Dreams”, Nicki Minaj throws shade at Meek Mill, her ex-boyfriend whom she broke up with in January, 2017, over his incessant attempts at winning her back.
She raps: “Meek still be in my DM’s. I be having to duck ‘em. I used to pray for times like this…”
Nicki Minaj also called out Drake for his unsuccessful attempts at dating her.
Nicki Minaj raps: “Drake worth a hundred milli; always buying me sh*t / but I don’t know if the [expletive] wet or he crying and sh*t .”
50 cent is also mentioned on the track as Nicki raps: “I tried to [expletive] 50 [Cent] for a powerful hour. All then, [expletive] wanna do is talk power for hours.”
Nicki Minaj did not spare DJ Khaled, whom he called out for saying, in an interview, that he does not perform oral sex on his wife.
“I had to cancel on DJ Khaled. We ain’t speaking/ain’t no fat [expletive] telling me what he ain’t eating,” Nicki raps.
Nicki Minaj also lyrically descended on musician Chris Brown’s ex-lover, Karrueche Tran, whom she accused of panicking, when rumours swirled that the rapper and Quavo (Karrueche’s ex-boyfriend) were dating.
“Make sure Karrueche [is] okay. Though, I heard she think I’m tryna give the coochie to Quavo… They always wanna beat it up; goon up the [expletive] man. Maybe, I should auto-tune up the [expletive],” Nicki Minaj raps.
The rapper also calls out Young Thug for telling his fans “go to hell”. Nicki furher accuses the rapper of “stealing” her dresses.
Nicki Minaj raps: “I used to [expletive] with Young Thug. I ain’t addressing the sh*t. Caught him in my dressing room stealing [my] dresses and sh*t.”
“Queen”, which is Nicki Minaj’s fourth studio album, has received mixed reviews, with rapper Lil Wayne terming it as “one of the best albums”.
“Queen” has a total of ten songs.
