Mzazi Willy M Tuva’s promise after being crowned Best African Radio/TV presenter

Kenyan media personality Mzazi Willy M Tuva – popularly known for his Mambo Mseto show on Radio Citizen and Mseto East Africa on Citizen TV – was over the weekend crowned the best radio and television presenter in the 2019 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) held in Dallas, Texas, United States.

Muzadde, as he is often referred to, beat off a host of other presenters to the top spot including fellow Kenyan Jamal Gaddafi, Lil Ommy (Tanzania), Do2dtun (Nigeria), Yaw (Nigeria), Afonso Quintas ( Angola), Sammy Forson (Ghana), James Onen (Uganda), Dj Fresh ( South Africa), and Konnie Toure from Ivory Coast.

Taking to social media to thank his fans after the win, Tuva – who also recently won ‘Best Promoter Of Talent’ at the ‘Diaspora Entertainment Awards & Recognition (DEAR) – made a new promise.

“After successfully uniting East Africa through music, I now take the challenge to unite Africa through music,” wrote Tuva alongside a photo of himself and Congolese crooner Fally Ipupa who he commended for ” acknowledging my efforts and challenging me to bring Africa together…”

His victory was also celebrated in Kenya with Tuva’s colleagues at Radio Citizen, and the entire Royal Media Services fraternity at large, posting congratulatory messages on social media.
