Tanzanian rapper AY and his wife, Remy, have welcomed their first child, a son, together.
The baby, who was born on August 12 in Dallas, Texas, has been named Aviel Yessayah.
The musician took to his official Instagram page on Monday, August 13 to share with his 1.4 million followers the good news.
“God is good. I thank Him for blessing me and my beautiful wife, Remy, with a baby boy, whom we have named Aviel Yessayah. He was born while 3.9kilograms and 27 inches tall. The name Aviel means God is my father. Aviel was born on August 12, 2018 at the Medical City Healthcare in Dallas, Texas. Welcome to the world, Aviel,” said AY on Instagram.
AY and Remy, who is a Rwandese national, tied the knot on February 24 this year.

AY, born Ambwene Yessaya, proposed to Remy on July 13, 2017. AY and Remy met in 2008.
Thirty-seven-year-old AY first introduced Remy to the world in December, 2016, when Remy was celebrating her birthday.
AY was previously dating Kenyan singer Amani, whom he met in 2005 before splitting in 2007, citing “distance and expenses incurred in making the relationship work” as main reasons for their break up.
