Multichoice Kenya has now introduced an array of new services for their DStv and GOtv customers to keep them both entertained and informed during their stay at home amid the coronavirus crisis.
“From Today, we have included CNN (channel 415), Euronews (channel 414), BBC World News (channel 400), Aljazeera (channel 406) and Africanews (channel 417), as well as the many other local DStv news channels in Kenya. GOtv customers will also get the brand-new channel Africanews (channel 47) available on GOtv Max and Plus,” said the company in a statement.
“We are making revision accessible for lessons and edutainment, adding educational channels Da Vinci (DStv 318 and GOtv 66) and fun programming on Cartoon Network (channel 310 and GOtv 67) on DStv Access until the end of May 2020 to help keep young minds stimulated and engaged.”
The company also stated that it has since acquired award-winning sport documentaries from around the globe and produced thematic channels for their customers to relive the greatest sporting moments of all time.
In addition, SS1 has also been availed to DStv Compact plus and Compact so as to thrill customers with past sport stories that have created some of sports most magical moments.
Also opened is SS7 which will showcase Motorsport action to DStv Access customers.
GOtv customers will, on the other hand, have access to GOtv Select 4 opened to compact customers to Re-Live the Premier league. GOtv Select 5 which will showcase past WWE content will also be opened to Compact and Family customers.
Multichoice also stated that they have advised most of their staff to work from home, in line with the government-directive, hence warning that customer care service may be a little slow.
It howver advised customers to rely on their various self-service online platforms for the next few weeks incase any issues may arise.
These include USSD (*423#), KadiPay, DStv WhatsApp bot (+254755896248), M-Pesa (Paybill numbers 444900 for DStv and 423655 for GOtv), Airtel, PesaPal as well Mobile Banking apps.
