How much would you pay to watch the royal wedding on T.V? This Nairobi hotel wants you to pay Ksh.1M

A Nairobi Hotel wants Kenyan couples to attend their viewing of the royal wedding at the cost of…wait for it…Ksh.1 million!

In an official poster from the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club seen by eDaily titled ‘A Royal Wedding Celebration’, the hotel says, “We are announcing a unique event as we celebrate and watch live coverage of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.”

The Ksh.1M voucher for two to the grand viewing will reportedly cater for a romantic night with an exotic candle light dinner and Champagne at their suites, a chopper ride to Kenya for breakfast “as you watch the sun rise,” pick and drop as well as meals with all taxes included.

“Come dressed in your finest wedding guest attire and enjoy and English brunch by a seasoned English chef James Dennis,” reads the poster.

“Fashion shows from leading bridal designers, Flair bartending, champagne toast and live commentary throughout the ceremony to make this day what can only be described as a true Royal Wedding experience.”

In what would appear to be a battle of the finest, yet another Nairobi hotel has put up its own offer, albeit a lot lower.

The Lord Errol Gourmet Restaurant’s Ksh.6, 000 offer to the viewing of the royal wedding comes “with a glass of prosecco or non-alcoholic sparkling wine.”

For their dress code, Lord Errol says “Royal Flair.”

The wedding between Prince Harry and ex-American actress will take place on May 19, 2018.
