American pop star Chris Brown is in town for Mombasa Rocks Festival, an annual music festival featuring an array of local and international artists.
Unfortunately, that is not precisely why the 2012 Grammy Award winner who started his musical career at a tender age of 13 was trending on Twitter Saturday.
Instead, he has shot up the Twitter trends as Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) are reacting to claims that the singer ‘smashed’ a fan’s iPhone shortly after landing at the Moi International Airport (MIA), Mombasa.
Despite MIA airport security and Brown’s promoter in Kenya, Thandie, disproving the claims, #KOT had to run with #DeportChrisBrown rekindling memories of Congolese Rhumba Maestro Koffi Olomide’s hurried deportation in July for assaulting his female dancer.
#DeportChrisBrown, however, took off on a hilarious cruise as #KOT once again affirmed their unparalleled ingenuity and innate humour.
From Kenyan Gospel Musician, Jimmy Gait taking hard hits to comparison of brands the allegedly smashed phone could have been, here are some of the most hilarious tweets from the hashtag #DeportChrisBrown.
