A former student at Moi University is set to represent Kenya at an international beauty pageant.
Audrey Awuor Rendo will fly the nation’s flag high at the 6th edition of Miss Progress International which will take place in Puglia, Italy.
Audrey, 24, went through a rigorous casting process and beat scores of other contestants to emerge Miss Progress Kenya which was organized and conducted by the franchise’s national Director and former crown holder, Debbi Oyugi.
The former Media Studies student is also the brainchild of a wildlife conservation project under the Environment umbrella themed ‘Jambo Jumbo’ which aims at finding lasting solutions to human wildlife conflict in Kenya and targets, particularly, elephants.
She is also the founder of ‘Girls in Real Life Situations’ which raises awareness on teenage pregnancy in Kenya by delivering talks in high schools and universities.
Miss Progress International – which is anchored on the pillars of Health, Environment, Cultural Intergration and Human Rights – will go down between September 21 – 30.
