Masinde Muliro University students boycott classes

Learning at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology was paralysed for the third day running after students at the Kakamega-based institution went on a go-slow demanding the reduction of examination fee, which they say was hiked without their knowledge.

The students who began boycotting classes on Monday, October 3, were seen hanging out in different spots – both inside and outside the university compound.

The University Senate and student leaders on Wednesday, October 5, held day-long meeting which is expected to yield a solution to the stalemate.
