Mariah Carey wants South Africa’s Table Mountain lit purple during concert

American hit-maker Mariah Carey wants South Africa’s historic mountain, Table Mountain, be lit up during her concert.

Apparently, the Always be my baby singer wants Table Mountain’s lights to be switched on and shine purple during her performance.

According to South Africa’s Channel24 showbiz website, a source revealed that the mother of two wants the mountain to be lit as a tribute to the late singer Prince who died at the age of 57.

However, Table Mountain’s floodlights can only be turned on in very special occasions which are important to the people around that specific area.

Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town which is located in South Africa. However, it is also a tourist attraction site that forms Table Mountain national park.

Apart from wanting the Table Mountain being lit, she also insisted on having coconut water from a specific region.

It seems not to be the first time that the 46-year-old music sensation is making such huge demands.

During her international concerts, Mariah Carey has been able to make weird demands such as having 20 white kittens and 100 white doves backstage with her.

Upon her arrival in South Africa, Mariah Carey’s motorcade was escorted by a police vehicle to her luxury hotel at the Waterfront.

The singer who is currently engaged to billionaire James Packer is currently on  tour. Mariah Carey will be performing at different places in South Africa then, later on, move to Las Vegas.
