A middle-aged woman from Kalwal village in Keiyo South is nursing serious injuries after she was assaulted by her husband who accused her of infidelity Wednesday.
Attesting to the brutal incident, Soy Division assistant county commisoner, Mr Anderson Chibanza, said that the suspect descended on his wife with a panga , chopping off the victim’s both hands, cutting her knees and inflicting multiple injuries on her head.
“Unfortunately, the serious panga cuts rendered the victim immobile and her legs may have to be amputated,” said the area Commissioner.
“The suspect was whisked from an angry mob that was baying for his blood,” added Mr Chibanza.
The suspect has since been arrested and he is being held in a Keiyo South police cell.
