A 20-year-old man was on Saturday, March 11, arrested and he is currently being held at Eldoret Police Station for allegedly killing his girlfriend, a Form One student at an Eldoret high school.

Reports claim that area residents alerted the police after the man resurfaced nearly a week later after the secondary school student’s body was found hacked into pieces.

According to Eldoret police boss, Samuel Mutunga, the suspect will be arraigned in court next week after investigations are concluded.

Police found parts of the girl’s badly mutilated body dumped in a well at Baringo estate in Eldoret on Saturday. Other parts of the girl’s body, including her arms and a leg, were found near a petrol station in Baharini estate.

The girl was a student at Sirende Secondary School.
