Man alleged to be mysterious ‘Somali guy’ dating Betty Kyallo speaks out

Alinur Mohamed, the man most Kenyans thought was the mysterious ‘Somali guy’ dating screen siren Betty Kyallo, has finally broken his silence on the issue.

The ‘Somali guy’ is a yet-to-be identified personality who recently became talk of town after he was mentioned in a spat involving and including NTV news anchor Dennis Okari and his colleague Ken Mijungu, Okari’s ex-wife Betty Kyallo and Betty’s sister Mercy Kyallo.

Betty recently took to social media to thank close friends and family who stood beside her when her daughter was hospitalised last year, including her sisters and the ‘Somali guy’ she is said to be in a relationship with.

She however failed to mention the baby’s father, Okari, upon which Mijungu openly called her out; Mijungu was in turn later criticized by Betty’s sister Mercy, in a drama that ran for the better part of three days.

Kenyans On Twitter (KOT) then went on an investigative mission to uncover who the mysterious ‘Somali guy’ was and settled on Alinur.

However, taking to Twitter on Saturday, Alinur – a youthful politician – distanced himself from the claims saying he’s not the one.

He rubbished reports that he is the ‘Somali guy’ saying the information is being spread by malicious individuals, adding that he has his own family.

“There has been speculations about my personal life in the past few days. Kenyans are linking me to the Somali Guy who was mentioned by NTV news anchor Ken Mijungu in his story that touched on Betty Kyallo and Dennis Okari. All these speculations are misleading,” he said.

“The information being spread around lacks facts and is being spread by individuals who have malicious personal interests. My happiness doesn’t come from other people’s misfortune. It’s important that Kenyans know the Truth. I have a Family that I love so much.”

He further added: “I am therefore asking those purporting that I am the mysterious Somali Guy to have some respect for my family, Betty Kyallo’s family, Dennis Okari and myself. Please I am not the Somali Guy.”
