Gor Mahia’s self-proclaimed number one fan, Jaro Soja, born Jared Obonyo, received a brand new car from a Kenyan-born United Kingdom-based businessman who was moved by his devoted support for the 15-time Kenya Premier League side champions.
Businessman David Ochieng’ enquired if K’Ogalo rewards Jaro Soja for his stanch commitment to supporting the club. When Soja answered: “Yes, but not as many would think,” Ochieng’ bought and ferried him a motor vehicle, Toyota Allion model.
Ochieng’ later traveled to the country where he presented the car to Jaro Soja.
“Ochieng’ said he spotted me severally when he watched Gor matches on TV, and that he was moved by my devotion. He presented – what he called a gift (car) to me – when we recently met in Nairobi,” Soja told eDaily.
“I have plunged the car into taxi business. It operates within Nairobi. I still move around on my motorbike.”
