KQ responds after Zari Hassan vowed to boycott airline over stolen perfumes

Kenya Airways (KQ) was on Tuesday forced to respond to a tweet by Ugandan socialite-cum-businesswoman Zari Hassan after she claimed to have lost a few of her items on the airline and vowed never to fly with them again.

An agitated Zari, in the tweet, commended the comfort of KQ but alleged that – while traveling on the airline to Entebbe, Uganda – four of her most expensive perfumes were stolen.

Besides the perfumes, which she was reportedly gifted on her birthday, a new suit that she was set to wear for a meeting at the neighboring country was also missing.

“I spent $2440 (Ksh.244,000) on last minute booking coz I had to be in Uganda and this is how you repay me. Shame on you…” she stated.

“Am disappointed, you just lost me as a client. Enough is enough.”

KQ, while commenting on the tweet, stated that they had reached out to Zari for her travel details in order to establish what happened.

“Dear Zari, we desire for all our customers to have a positive experience. We’ve reached out to you to obtain your travel details to enable us to coordinate w/ the management at the airports of transfer (JHB, JKIA and EBB) to establish what happened. We kindly await your response,” wrote KQ.
